The CIMIC centre is a unit designated for civil–military cooperation tasks at the operational–tactical level, and as such is an element of combat support.
The training of the CIMIC centre is focused on the execution of basic joint tactical activities, on the planning of civil–military cooperation, the creation of situation reports, and the analysis and assessment of the civil environment.
Main tasks include:
- Providing CIMIC expertise in foreign operations and other task groupings (EUTM Mali, eFP Lithuania, 4. BÚU, 7. BÚU, NRF, VJTF and NRI)
- training of basic tactical activities of civil–military cooperation;
- creation of a database of civil organisations for the future development of civil–military interaction;
- conducting analyses and assessments of the civil environment;
- liaison activities, negotiations with civil actors and ensuring implementation of civil–military cooperation projects;
- coordination of selection and recruitment of active CIMIC reserves;
- planning and execution of joint and specialist training of AZ SkKySIO.
