About the centre

Assistance, information and coordination during a military crisis

The Field CIMIC centre serves as a contact and coordination point between the civilian population, refugees, local self-government, humanitarian organisations, components of the integrated rescue system and military units operating in the area.

Our goal is to help ensure the safe movement of persons, the transmission of verified information, the coordination of humanitarian aid, and support for the population and persons fleeing conflict.

We mainly help with

• information for refugees and evacuated persons,
• coordination of humanitarian aid,
• forwarding requests from municipalities and organisations,
• facilitating communication with military units,
• recording needs in the field,
• supporting vulnerable persons,
• information about safe routes, gathering points and places of assistance,
• preventing panic, misunderstandings and the spread of unverified reports.

Important notice

The Field CIMIC centre does not replace emergency lines, the crisis staff, or asylum and registration authorities.
